UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida Earns Commendable Accreditation from NCQA

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida has achieved a commendable accreditation from National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its Medicaid Managed Care plan in Florida

SUNRISE, Fla. (March 13, 2013)– UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida has achieved a commendable accreditation from National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) for its Medicaid Managed Care plan in Florida.

NCQA Health Plan Accreditation is a nationally recognized evaluation that regulators and consumers use to assess health plans. The accreditation process evaluates all parts of a health plan’s delivery system, from physicians and hospitals that participate in the plan’s care provider network to administrative services. The review also includes onsite and offsite evaluations by a team of physicians and managed care experts.

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Florida’s NCQA Health Plan Accreditation performance results were based on service and clinical quality that meets or exceeds NCQA’s rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement.

“NCQA’s accreditation process provides an independent review of our Medicaid health plans. This review helps assure our customers that they’ve chosen a Medicaid plan that provides a quality health plan experience and meets the highest standards for access, service and satisfaction” said Plan President Kathleen Crampton.
