Every year at the National Association of Medicaid Directors (NAMD) Annual Conference, UnitedHealthcare Community and State focuses our engagement around a particular topic. This year we’re focused on the how to support health equity by partnering/convening at the local level, leveraging data & investing in addressing SDOH.
We also use our booth as an opportunity to participate in a community service project. This year we’re collecting socks at our booth for several local organizations. Socks are one of the most needed items, but also among one of the least donated. If you’re attending the conference in-person please bring new socks & drop them off at our booth (#27 and #28) during exhibit hours, starting during the opening reception on Sunday, November 14, 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm ET.
- Mary’s Center: a community health center serving nearly 60,000 people of all ages, incomes, and backgrounds in the Washington, DC metro area for over 30 years.
- Shepherd’s Table: serves individuals from all walks of life, experiencing a unique set of challenges such as homelessness, unemployment, mental health challenges, substance abuse, physical disabilities and more.
We will also be doing a ‘Gratitude & Positivity’ card-making event at our booth during the opening reception.
We look forward to seeing you in-person or virtually at NAMD Annual Conference.
