FQHC National Advisory Board

In 2010, UnitedHealthcare formed a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) advisory board to serve as a council to provide input and guidance to UnitedHealthcare on the policy and practice issues and trends relevant to Federally Qualified Health Centers. The FQHC National Advisory Board (FQHC Board) provides feedback and makes recommendations on practice quality, clinical approaches, population needs, and innovation strategies. The Board is comprised of national — and state — level community health center associations and individual FQHCs and community health centers representing varying geographies and regions of the country.

The goals of the FQHC National Advisory Board are to:

  • Elevate provider voice and perspective
  • Advance awareness and knowledge of best practices to support access to high quality health care for the populations served by FQHCs
  • Identify emerging trends, best practices, and policy issues in health care and human services
  • Determine ways to use data to improve collaboration and overall health outcomes
  • Identify provider practice, policy, financial, and operational opportunities and risks
  • Develop recommendations for community-based practice innovations and reforms
  • Serve as a forum for feedback and reactions to UnitedHealthcare initiatives impacting FQHCs
