Video: Missouri FQHC Leverages Innovative Solution to Provide Continuous Access to Dental Care

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, one federally qualified health center in St. Louis, Missouri was concerned about how to continue to safely meet the needs of dental patients while protecting their staff from the virus. Through funding provided by the UnitedHealthcare Community Plan FQHC Transformation Investments program, Family Care Health Centers (FCHC) was able to create negative pressure rooms designed to isolate any patient with COVID-19 symptoms while still allowing staff to provide dental treatment - especially in the case of dental emergencies. The negative pressure room will be beneficial to the FCHC team for years to come – watch the video to learn more about this innovative solution.
