Improving maternal health outcomes in Medicaid through FQHCs and managed care

Pregnant individuals in the United States experience adverse maternal and birth outcomes at rates greater than those in nearly all other developed nations.  About half of all births in the U.S. are covered by Medicaid. This policy brief created by the National FQHC Advisory Board outlines challenges facing FQHCs and potential policy opportunities to mitigate those obstacles.
