Video: The Advantages of Offering LTSS Through Managed Care

Long-term Services and Supports (LTSS) provide a wide range of solutions that help people with disabilities or complex health issues receive day-to-day self-care and social needs. Multiple providers can perform LTSS functions for one person. Managing each individually can become challenging if an LTSS provider is no longer available or when a person’s needs change during a life transition or a health crisis.

There are many advantages to LTSS offered through managed care. Instead of coordinating individual services on their own with multiple providers, as is the case when LTSS is offered through fee-for-service, managed care simplifies the process. A Case Manager coordinates all LTSS for members no matter where they are or what their needs are.
