A collaborative approach to addressing health disparities in Michigan

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Michigan and SciPol-Detroit launched a Health Equity Challenge to discover new ways to address the health disparities experienced by underserved populations. Participants submitted proposals for innovative approaches to tackling the state’s most pressing inequities. The winning proposals from our first Health Equity Challenge focused on improving health literacy and reducing obesity.
