Celebrating grandparents and healthy connections in Phoenix

UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Arizona recognized Grandparents Day by bringing families together for a day focused on connection, helpful resources and healthy living.

Grandparents play an important role in helping families and communities thrive.

In recognition of Grandparents Day on September 13, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of Arizona brought grandparents, children and families together in Phoenix to celebrate those connections and support health and well-being across generations.

The festivities were held at Golden Gate Community Center, part of Wesley Community & Health Centers. Serving south and west central Phoenix for more than 80 years, the center provided a fitting setting to strengthen connections across generations and share helpful resources while enjoying good food and a fun-filled day of activities.

Watch our video to see how Phoenix came together to honor grandparents.
